    * Understand and experience each segment of the foot motion - rearfoot, forefoot, and toes

    * Gain insights into foot pronation and supination, and the impact on the body.

    * Limb pronation mechanics

    * Limb supination mechanics

    * Understand the biomechanical changes that occur in the foot with various presentations.

    * Flat foot, high arch, Plantar fasciitis, heel pain, bunions, hammer toes, ankle sprain.

  • * Walk through a step-by-step process to comfortably assess the foot and its biomechanical contribution to lower limb function.

    * Understand the implications of close chain foot resting position and motion on function.

    * Improve your ability to observe feet through a close chain biomechanical lens

    * Improve your ability to feel your own feet and body move through self-assessment and practice.

    * Connect the biomechanical dots from toe to pelvis, knowing everything is connected.

  • * Learn how to take assessment findings and create a tailored therapeutic exercise program for your client.

    * Follow our helpful flowchart for a repeatable process to help your clients find and really maximise the use of their feet.

    * Integrate your learnings within your practice in the clinic, at the gym, or Pilates studio you can incorporate feet no matter what area you work in.

Meet your educators:

  • Eva brings 20 years of experience as a physiotherapist and extensive training in Pilates (DMA, Polestar, Tensegrity + APPI), Women’s Health and Functional Biomechanics (Anatomy in Motion + Neurokinetic Therapy), as well as 5 years’ experience teaching health practitioners APPI Pilates.

    In her clinical practice, she takes an holistic approach, assessing the body through a biomechanical lens and treating with movement and education.

    Eva has explored many avenues of health and wellness since qualifying as a physio in 2003, but she really found her feet 5 years ago when she discovered that movement is the answer to most questions the body asks us. Learning how to move her own feet and her client’s feet has unlocked the opportunity to help the body truly move as it was designed to.

  • Riccardo is a Doctor of Chinese Medicine with a specialization in Acupuncture and over 15 years’ experience. His focus is on holistic, preventative healthcare. His Canberra-based clinic runs a multi-modal approach to therapy, encompassing treatments rooted in functional biomechanics and the Anatomy in Motion (AiM) technique.

    Through extensive training in muscle testing, gait analysis, foot mobilization, functional gait exercises, functional anatomy, and the AiM approach, Riccardo has cultivated a profound comprehension of the body, its movement, and the ability to diagnose and address issues related to pain, discomfort, or limited mobility. He can work both internally, targeting acupuncture meridians, and externally, focusing on bones and muscles through biomechanics and functional anatomy.

    Riccardo offers mentorship, workshops, and online seminars to share his knowledge and help fellow professionals enhance their skills.
